Hertfordshire Zoo is home to over 800 animals located in Broxbourne. We have a series of platforms and walkways which enable our guests fabulous viewing opportunities across our animal enclosures. Many habitats also incorporate huge glass windows to allow you to capture memorable moments on your camera.

Animals include variations of big cats, primates, reptiles, birds, small mammals and wide range of paddock animals. Activities you will love like Come Face-to-Face with Asiatic Lions, Meet Peppa Pig and The Smurfs, One Zoo Three Stars in the Spotlight, Splash and Slide at Boulders Beach, Walk with Dinosaurs and many more.

World of Animals

  • Big Cat Territory- we have cats ranging from snow leopards to jaguars and tigers. They may look cute and cuddly but they are fierce predators, Big Cats are among the most powerful animals on the planet.
  • Large Mammals- Hoofed mammals include some of the largest and most impressive land mammals.
  • Small Mammals- Discover a fascinating array of small mammals, from the prickly African Crested Porcupine to the playful Asian Short-Clawed Otters. There's so much to learn about these amazing creatures!

  • Farmyard Animals- We might not be Old Macdonald but we definitely have an impressive range of Farm Yard animals here at our Hertfordshire Zoo.

Dinosaurs

  • World of Dinosaurs- World of Dinosaurs, a dinosaur park at Hertfordshire’s number 1 attraction, features thirty, moving, snapping, roaring dinosaurs. From cunning Velociraptors, to vast Brachiosaurus, from terrifying Spinosaurus to unpronounceable Pachycephalosaurus, plus of course, a mighty T Rex, they are all here! There’s a Dino Dig area too, plus lots of other Dinosaur themed treats for all the family.

  • National Speedway Museum- Although we are known across the country for our vast collection of magnificent animals, we do like to venture into other areas too! Here at our Hertfordshire Zoo we make sure to cater for people of all ages and tastes, which is why one of the wonderful things you can visit whilst here is the National Speedway Museum!

  • Parking: Here at Hertfordshire Zoo we have multiple car parks. Parking at Hertfordshire Zoo is completely free of charge.
  • Cafe: Hertfordshire Zoo has a wide range of eateries around the site. All of our food is freshly made on site each day by our dedicated team of caterers.
  • Tickets: Hertfordshire Zoo accept tickets purchased from the Hertfordshire Zoo website presented on mobiles and tablet devices.
  • WIFI: We have FREE WIFI which you can use to access your email accounts.
  • Picnic Area: We have two, large, covered stretch tents to cater for picnic areas.
  • Adoption: Many of our animals are available for adoption. Choose your favourite here.
